Not sure about the other folks experience, but we have enjoyed this location during the past week. Lively atmosphere and plenty of tv's to watch sports. The service in the bar area has been excellent. The beer selection is good with wide range of taste.

If we were to rate this in any other city, I would have given this place a much lower rating. Afterall, this is Fresno!
The food is above average for this town as they are one of the few places that doesn't serve salsa with everything you order...
The steaks, ribs and other offerings are reasonably priced and generally good. If you are in town for a business outing etc... I would say this is the spot for you.

If you have been to one BJ's "you have been to all of them" they are the same except some are a little bigger than others. I will do this review on a positive/negative approach The positive, the beers seem to be getting a little better of late or BJ's is just wearing me down, but really they , not the Fresno one as it is newer, have improved from two years ago, also they have guest beers so there is a nice choice. The food is always good, think Applebees, it will never get an outstanding comment but it will also never disappoint. Servers vary in service levels as they have high turnover and they are overworked.
The negatives,during meal times long long lines waiting for tables. BJ's has a bar area but it is overrun with screaming out of control kids. The bar area can be so packed that getting a seat is difficult and if you get one you will be knocked and bumped from the crowd. This BJ's is close to the college so there are many students there trying to look cool and drinking Bud's.
In summary if you don't mind crowds and yelling kids BJ's is not a bad place for a beer or two and a good meal
